WilliamHaun.com is a collection of my work and art. I am a stay-at-home Dad by day and a multimedia artist & web developer by night living in Macon, Georgia.
I've been a fan of the avantgarde group Gang Gang Dance since I first heard of them through Animal Collective. I edited together a video for them with some footage I shot this spring of Trey and Kenny at the Jensen family cabin in the swamps of Florida.
Just in time for Halloween, enjoy this short creepy film.
NOTE: I'm not quite sure why, but Imeem messes with the color in the first 8 seconds despite my numerous encodes and repeated uploads.
Tonight I spoke to the Warner Robins Digital Imaging Photography Guild and gave an overview/demo of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2. Lightroom is a software program that manages your photo library, provides advanced photo editing tools, and helps distribute your photos via slideshows, print, and the web. I've been using Lightroom for almost two years and am a HUGE fan of the product (especially the latest iteration version 2.1).
The club is relatively new (started in March of this year) but has a very active membership. I was pleasantly surprised to see over 25 people show up for my presentation.
In 2007, I created a music video for the Asthmatic Kitty Records artist Rafter for a YouTube contest he was having. I ended up winning the contest and even got some prize money.
This year, Rafter has a new album and a new video contest. I submitted again with a video I edited from found footage in West Africa. Here is the video and link to it on YouTube. I'd love get get feedback in the form of comments and ratings on YouTube.
This blog has been behind because of my recent trip to back to Ghana. I focused on posting my adventures, insights, and photos over at haunsinafrica.com over the past month. I'm back in Macon, GA now and plan to resume updating this one.
Fellow artist and good friend Jym Davis has just revamped his website and put up a new homepage I created for him. The page is a Flash movie that fills the browser window and features simple navigation over blurry, pixelated video loops. Looks pretty impressive when you maximize your browser window. Head over to jymdavisart.com and check it out. Be sure to refresh the page several times since each viewing randomly picks 1 of 5 video loops.
